Officer DJ Simmonds:   Officer Simmonds gave his life as a result of the capture of the Boston Marathon bombers.  A playground at Belcher Park in Randolph, Massachusetts, DJ’s hometown, will serve as a lasting celebration of his life and provide healing and recovery to his family and the community at large.  This beautiful playscape will provide generations of children countless hours of fun and exercise while the community continues DJ’s legacy of service and dedication to local youth.

Dorchester, MA

Victoria McGrath:  Victoria McGrath’s playground at the Boys and Girls Club in Dorchester, MA is officially open! Victoria McGrath was a survivor of the Boston Marathon Bombing, but was later taken much too soon in a car accident while in Dubai.  Victoria’s spirit and love of life will continue on in her new playground. Victoria’s playground is located at 35 Deer Street in Dorchester, MA.

Wilmington, MA

Officer Sean Collier:  The Sean Collier Playground was built at Silver Lake and opened on September 26th, 2015.  Sean Collier was ambushed while in his police car by the terrorist responsible for the Boston Marathon bombing.  The playground includes messages drawn by Sean’s nieces and cousins, such as “Look Before Crossing” and “Police Officers Are Our Friends”.
